About This Blog

 “Getting the Story Straight”

The news media are, for the most part, the bringers of bad news…and it’s not entirely the media’s fault, bad news gets higher ratings and sells more papers than good news.” -Peter McWilliams.  “If it bleeds, it leads” -Unknown.

The Market is Local.  Real estate headlines do not reflect a neighborhood’s true market statistics.  Rather, they paint a very general picture from regional, state or national data.  The news is reported and syndicated locally so homeowners and consumers are misled to believe that the headlines ring true to their immediate neighborhood or market area.

One of the goals of this blog is to find the truth about the real estate market in your neighborhood as well as in San Diego by reviewing where the market has been, discussing where it lies currently and forecasting where it may be heading.

We’ll do this by looking at news headlines, market statistics and by snapshots of properties for sale, real life experiences that you the readers have lived through and other general real estate related content.

My promise to the readers of this blog is to refrain from injecting any biased, agenda driven content and to deliver honest, objective information.
